Joomla is a free content management system (CMS) that was created in 2005 as a fork of the Mambo CMS. The name comes from the Swahili word "jumla" (= "all together"). Joomla is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and is written in PHP.

Integration in the appointment scheduling system
There are two integration methods for Joomla:
- Plugin/extension: Direct integration into Joomla via an extension
- iframe: The booking form is embedded via an HTML module with iframe code
