The start times module (also: tee times) is a specialization for golf clubs and similar sports facilities, where appointments are not only booked but also shown publicly in the calendar grid.
How it works
- When start times are enabled, the details of a booking (booker, participants, other information) are displayed directly in the calendar grid view, visible to other players
- Other golfers can see who has reserved which tee time and when
- This corresponds to the tee sheet principle common in golf clubs
Background (golf)
In golf, "tee time" refers to the reserved starting time of a group of players. Golf clubs have traditionally managed tee times using tee sheets or reservation books. The module digitizes this process.
Configuration
The module extends the calendar so that publish_details (publication of appointment details) is enabled automatically, but only in the grid view.
