Two-way synchronization (also called bidirectional synchronization) refers to the mutual transfer of appointment changes between two systems.
Example with CalDAV
- A customer books online → the appointment immediately appears in the employee's Outlook calendar
- The employee marks an appointment in Outlook as blocked → the slot is automatically no longer bookable
Example with Google Calendar
- Appointments booked in the booking system appear in Google Calendar
- Times blocked in Google Calendar are not available in the booking system
Unlike one-way synchronization (read only), two-way synchronization enables complete, consistent calendar management without manual double entry.
