Scope
This privacy policy informs users about the type, scope and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.
The legal framework for data protection is formed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).
Collection of general information
Each time you access this website, information is collected automatically by us or the web hosting provider. This information, also referred to as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions about your person.
Among other things, the following is collected: name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website) and the IP address.
Without this data it would in some cases be technically impossible to deliver and display the content of the website. In this respect, the collection of the data is strictly necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us to optimise the website and the technology. We also reserve the right to check the log files retrospectively if there is a suspicion of unlawful use of our website.
Handling of personal data
Definition: Personal data is any information by which a person can be clearly identified. It is therefore data that can be traced back to a person.
This personal data includes first name and last name, phone number and email address. Information about hobbies, memberships and preferences as well as websites visited is also considered personal data.
This data is only collected, used and passed on by the provider if this is expressly permitted by law or if the user consents to the collection, processing, use and disclosure of the data.
Registration on our website
If you register on our website to use personalised services, personal data is collected. This includes name, address, phone number and email address as contact and communication data.
Registration provides access to services and content that are only available to registered users. If required, registered users can change or delete the data provided during registration at any time. On request, we will of course tell you which personal data has been collected and stored. In addition, we will correct or delete the data on request, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent this. For questions as well as your request for correction or deletion of data, please use the contact details given in this privacy policy.
Provision of paid services
In order to provide paid services, we request additional data. This applies, for example, to payment details.
To ensure the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods (such as SSL) via HTTPS that reflect the current state of the art.
Contact form
If you contact us via the online form or by email, we store the information you provide in order to answer your request and to be able to ask any follow-up questions.
Integration of third-party services and content
Our website sometimes includes content, services and offers of other providers. These are, for example, maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube and graphics and images from other websites. For this data to be retrieved and displayed in the user's browser, the transmission of the IP address is strictly necessary. The providers (hereinafter referred to as "third-party providers") therefore see the IP address of the respective user.
Even though we strive to use only third-party providers that need the IP address solely to deliver content, we have no influence on whether the IP address may be stored. In that case, this process serves, among other things, statistical purposes. If we become aware that the IP address is stored, we will inform our users.
Cookies
This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer by the server. They contain information about the browser, the IP address, the operating system and the internet connection. We do not pass this data on to third parties or link it with personal data without your consent.
Cookies mainly fulfil two tasks. They help us make it easier for you to navigate our website and enable the correct display of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or start programs.
Users can also access our website without cookies. To do so, the corresponding settings in the browser must be changed. Please use the help function of your browser to find out how to deactivate cookies. However, please note that some functions of this website may be impaired and ease of use may be restricted. The pages http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (USA) and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ (Europe) allow you to manage online advertising cookies.
Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on these websites, your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide further services related to website use and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting in your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: Browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics.
More information on terms of use and data protection can be found at http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or at https://policies.google.com/.
Google AdWords
This website uses the online advertising program "Google AdWords" and, as part of it, conversion tracking. Google AdWords sets a cookie on your computer if you reached our website via a Google ad. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies therefore cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers.
The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.
If you do not want to participate in the tracking process, you can easily deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie in your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. You can find out more about this in Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy
Data minimisation
In accordance with the principles of data avoidance and data minimisation, we store personal data only for as long as necessary or as required by law (statutory retention period). If the purpose of the collected information no longer applies or the retention period ends, we block or delete the data.
Your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection
You have the right to request, free of charge, information about the personal data stored by us and/or to request its correction, blocking or deletion. Exceptions: the data storage is required for business processing or the data is subject to a statutory retention obligation.
For these purposes, please contact our data protection officer (contact details: at the end of the privacy policy).
In order to be able to take a data block into account at any time, it is necessary to keep the data in a blocking file for control purposes. If there is no statutory archiving obligation, you can also request the deletion of the data. Otherwise, we will block the data if you so wish.
Changes to our privacy policy
To ensure that our privacy policy always complies with current legal requirements, we reserve the right to make changes at any time. This also applies if the privacy policy has to be adapted due to new or revised services, for example new services. The new privacy policy then applies on your next visit to our website.
