A resource is a bookable unit that is not a person but is managed like a staff calendar. Resources make it possible to manage inventory, rooms or equipment with the same booking mechanisms as staff appointments.
Examples
- Treatment room 1, 2, 3 (medical practice, physiotherapy)
- Company vehicle (fleet management)
- EMS training device (gym)
- Conference room A, B, C (office building)
- Sports field or tennis court (sports club)
- Treatment table (massage practice)
Combination with staff
Resources can be linked to staff members. An appointment with a physiotherapist then requires both an available therapist and an available treatment room. Both must be available before the slot can be booked, which automatically prevents double bookings.
Configuration
- Resources are set up in the system as calendars, exactly like staff members
- Own appointment times, blocked times and capacities can be configured
- Internal name for the admin area, public name for customers
Resources are particularly relevant for industries with limited physical infrastructure: practices, studios, seminar rooms and rental businesses.
