An appointment zone is a named time range with its own booking rules. Different zones can have different availability, services or prices. This allows fine-grained control of the calendar without having to create several separate calendars.
Examples of use
- Medical practice: Monday/Wednesday 9 am-12 pm private patients, Tuesday/Thursday 8 am-4 pm patients with statutory health insurance
- Gym: Morning and evening slots with different classes
- Consulting office: Phone consultations only in the morning, in-person appointments only in the afternoon
- Seasonal offers: Summer zone with extended opening hours, reduced winter zone
Configurable properties per zone
- Weekdays and times to which the zone applies
- Permitted appointment reasons (e.g. only certain services can be booked in this zone)
- Specific price categories (e.g. late evening surcharge)
- Capacity (how many simultaneous bookings are allowed in this zone)
Appointment zones are closely related to appointment times and blocked times.
